This Okama represent seeds, in literal form and also as a metaphor.

Seeds contain the fruits of our nourishment, gives origin to new plants. Seeds are the beginning of life.

Seeds can also mean our actions lead to counter reactions, wether good or bad. Hence the saying “reep the seeds you sow” future consequences are inevitably shaped by present actions.

This Okama is a meditation to always act with love, help anyone in need, wish well upon others and never let negative emotions fester your heart.

Okama Semilla are approx 5” long and 11” diameter.

Hand-made by Alicia part of the Embera-Chami ethnic group of Risaralda Colombia.

All of our accessories are hand-woven by indigenous women and their families of Colombia.

At Oltem we wish to uplift ancestral design.
