  • BAGABAGA means Butterfly.

These Butterly earrings are hand-woven by the indingeous women we work with in Colombia.

The technique applied to these butterflies is traditional, however the shape, color and use of the butterflies is of a contemporary one. Bagabagas are an example of the young indigenous peoples exploring between traditional weavings in contemporary designs. Makes these butterflies very meaningful to the evolution of traditional practices in a contemporary world.

Butterflies are woven with thread and seed beads.

    hoops are 18k gold plated.

Inspired and deisgned after the REAL butterflies species like the Morpho (teal/turquoise, black and gold), Purple Emperor (purple), Monarchs (Orange, black and white) and White Peacock ( Cream, Purple and gold accents)

Model is also wearing Okama Vida in the colorway MORA.
